Bono named worst investor in America
He’d probably be named Worst Writer in America, too, if anybody read the New York Times.
U2 singer Bono’s investments into Elevation Partners, which has offices in New York and Menlo Park, have helped make him the “worst investor investor [sic] in America,” according to the online publication 24/7 Wall Street.
With large investments in Palm, Forbes, and Move.com — “an unprecedented string of disastrous investments which even bad luck could not explain” — Elevation Partners has earned the distinction of being “arguably the worst run institutional fund of any size in the United States,” 24/7 Wall Street asserts.

New Food Network Show Sends Star Chef Bobby Flay To Random Homes To Ridicule Families’ Food And Lifestyle Choices

In an effort to build on the success of “Throwdown with Bobby Flay,” a show in which the celebrity chef surprises restaurateurs with cooking challenges, Food Network has announced a new Flay vehicle titled “Smackdown with Bobby Flay.”
In the new show, the New York-based chef and TV personality will happen upon randomly-selected homes and announce he is there for a “Smackdown.” Flay will then proceed to examine cupboards, refrigerators and freezers to identify poor food choices.
In addition, the host will evaluate the overall health and fitness of the families and humorously hector them for any shortcomings.
Food Network reports that they are also considering a longer format show in which Flay invites his socialite and food critic friends to provide their own biting commentary.
“Smackdown with Bobby Flay” is scheduled to begin airing Tuesday nights in early 2010, after “Iron Chef: Douchebags.”
