GOP Devastated As Straw Men, Racists Defect To Form Third Party

Coeur d’Alene, Idaho – Republican leaders from around the country are expressing anxiety about their electoral future in the wake of an announcement by straw men and racists that they will form a third party.
The new movement draws its membership both from angry right-wing extremists who were in recent days bravely and astutely exposed by MSNBC anchor Keith Olbermann to be racists as well as the straw men who have waged an almost daily battle with the White House over President Obama’s progressive agenda.
After an unsuccessful meeting here to attempt to dissuade these key voting blocs from defecting the GOP, a visibly upset House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) remarked,
Look, we thought we were going to be able to channel all the irrational anger and racial hatred of the extreme right-wing with the perplexing arguments of the imaginary right-wing to achieve a Republican takeover of Congress this November. That’s looking like a long-shot now that two of the pillars of our party have seen fit to abandon us. Frankly, we are just going to have to rally the base we still have– whether it’s the Nazis, the torture-lovers or the abortion doctor assassins– we need their support now more than ever.
Thank you, Le Monde for perfectly distilling the American mindset into a clever cartoon.
VIDEO HORROR: Every MSNBC commenter on Sarah Palin’s book signing is white
In this clip from MSNBC’s “Hardball with Chris Matthews,” the host and two guests fixate on the “monochromatic” racial composition of a Sarah Palin book signing. However, a closer examination of the commenters themselves reveals:
- Chris Matthews – White
- Norah O’Donnell – White
- Joan Walsh – White
How are we supposed to trust MSNBC or believe that this cable news channel represents anything other than a white supremacy hate group?
UPDATE (11/23): And… Ace and Michelle Malkin have made the same joke, only better and broader (to all of MSNBC’s line-up). Is it better to be first or funniest?

“Hey There, Obama (Drink the Kool Aid)”
Pretty funny. But is the Kool Aid reference coded racism? Somebody call in Michael Eric Dyson so we can get to the bottom of this…
Michael Eric Dyson is a hatefully insecure pseudo-intellectual

Rapid recital of sesquipedalian synonyms makes an argument seem weak, not strong.
According to Georgetown sociology professor Michael Eric Dyson, racism in America is both hopelessly inscrutable and insolvable. Evidently racism has so thoroughly imbued our institutions, our culture and our minds that its existence can only be gleaned from amorphous and indeterminate things such as “context,” “atmosphere,” “code words,” and other pseudo-scientific sociomological gobbledygook. (Admittedly, I may not be authorized to level such criticism since I traded my master’s in sociology from Stanford for a can of SpaghettiOs.)
And Michael Eric Dyson would know about code words– he’s a masterful word encoder himself: On the reaction to Jimmy Carter’s claim that racism is motivating criticism of Obama, “he’s been nearly hung in effigy, as Mr. Obama has.” Nearly? I guess “nearly” is a code word for “not” or “never.” Remember President George W. Bush? That guy was actually, not nearly, hung in effigy.
Here’s professor Dyson on NBC’s Today Show talking about Rep. Joe Wilson’s “You lie!” outburst:
It amazes me that white Americans are incapable of acknowledging what is before our faces.
That’s awesome stuff. And here’s his analysis of the arrest of Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates, on the Situation Room (CNN):
[Larry Elder] is taking the sergeant’s word for what Gates said… The situation and the context itself suggest some racial possibilities… Professor Gates has the reasonable suspicion that race plays a role here.
OK, so we can’t rely on the sergeant’s word. He is white after all and therefore incapable of acknowledging what is before our faces. But professor Gates is not white, so it seems we are free to draw whatever conclusion we want based on his presumed “reasonable suspicion.” I am going to go out on a limb and suggest that the conclusion is “racism!!!” (But possibly with 1-2 more exclamation points.)
It’s a relief that the professor doesn’t pretend to be dealing with “so-called empirically verifiable racism,” because that sounds kind of scientific– and that has no place in a conversation with Michael Eric Dyson.
On Rush Limbaugh’s statements about quarterback Donovan McNabb:
He’s not saying ‘I hate Negroes,’ specifically. What’s he doing is creating an atmosphere of such profound vitriol and hatred and I think denunciation of black people…
Limbaugh is not saying he hates black people specifically. He’s saying that he hates black people generally– perhaps incidentally to his hatred of all things “other.” Who gave Michael Eric Dyson one of our decoder rings? This is really going to mess things up for us.
How insecure is this guy?
- He has to tell Breitbart, “I’m able to speak articulately.” And moments earlier, he feels the need to recite his academic achievements, just like the equally insecure Keith Olbermann.
- The subtitle of his book is “The Inspiration, Wisdom and and Insight of Michael Eric Dyson.” I can’t think of anybody else who tries to get away with calling their own writing inspiration, wisdom and insight.
Liberal counter-protester mocks Gadsden flag vendor: “Come on down here, black man.”
Waiting in line for a Rep. Russ Carnahan (D-MO) town hall event on healthcare the evening of 8/6/09. This woman evidently cannot comprehend how an African-American man could possibly be selling the “Don’t Tread On Me” Gadsden flag along with other conservative and anti-Obama merchandise.
No come on, you’re working for him. Come on down here, black man. I’m serious. You’re– come on, get down here. I know you’re bi-racial, so is he. Get down here.
(We published these clips in August, but they were buried in a longer video and the quality was poor.)
Shutting down free speech
Fascism: 1. a governmental system led by a dictator having complete power, forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism, regimenting all industry, commerce, etc., and emphasizing an aggressive nationalism and often racism.
The Department of Health and Human Services just ordered the health insurance industry to “stop telling Medicare beneficiaries that proposed health reform legislation could hurt seniors and jeopardize their benefits” (from the Washington Post). So the healthcare plan, which will be “deficit neutral”, will be payed for by enormous cuts in Medicare, which will not have any negative impact on Medicare at all. I wish I could run a business with the same logic and unlimited source of funding as the government…but I couldn’t stand the idea of stealing money from Americans.
Back to the definition of fascism. No one will argue that the president is currently an omnipotent dictator. But are we moving towards or away from fascism? And if we are moving towards it, why?
“Forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism”: check. A gag order for insurance companies, fighting with Fox News, a link on the White House website asking citizens to report “fishy” behavior. It is only a matter of scale, not intent, that distinguishes America from Venezula right now. It is also of utmost importance to remember that it is only the will and character of the American people that will keep the demon of totalitarianism at bay. This always has been, is now, and will be true.
“Regimenting all industry and commerce”: check. Obama is taking over banks, the automotive industry, considering “bailing out” the newspaper industry. Al Gore gets $500 million to build some green luxury cars for him and his rich friends.
“Emphasizing aggressive nationalism and often racism”: Their hatred of America precludes leftists from supporting any kind of aggressive nationalism, at least until they radically change what it means to be American. When it comes to racism, it seems that fostering hatred against racists is their tactic, at the same time accusing all their political enemies of being racists. Stirring up actionable, violent hatred against a group of people remains consistent with fascist ideology though.
Where is this headed? Why should America be pushed one inch in the direction of fascism, and how could anyone who respects our constitution be behind it? If you want to “bring fundamental change” to a country, try one that actually needs it.
