Real Hitler Reacts To YouTube Removing The Hitler “Downfall” Parodies

without comments

The copyright owner of the movie “Downfall,” Constantin Films, has compelled YouTube to remove the parody videos that have recorded tens of millions of views– and undeniably created more interest in a little-known foreign language film than it was likely to obtain otherwise. Missourah even made our own contribution to the meme last August. (It’s live for now with about 200,000 views.)

Today we went to the moustachioed one himself to get his opinion…

Time for a new meme: Segregation!

without comments

That line is moving faster than mine. Segregation!

The whole “everything is racist” thing was beginning to lose some steam. Then, today, Senator Tom Harkin gave us all a wonderful gift– the evocation of segregation to decry the variable treatment of different health risks by insurance companies!

I didn’t have any idea how bad the problem was until I started thinking through a typical day…

  • McDonald’s wouldn’t serve me an Egg McMuffin at 10:45 this morning because I arrived too late for their breakfast menu. Segregation!
  • AT&T customer service made me wait longer than the people who had called in before me. Segregation!
  • General Electric would not negotiate with me for the purchase of an aircraft engine, citing the fact that I don’t in any way intend to use it, nor am I wearing pants. Segregation!

One more thing. Don’t bother accusing me of trivializing segregation. Tom Harkin already did that much more effectively than our feckless snark ever could.

Rogue Artist Jokerizes Capitol Building, Pleads For End Of Jokerization

without comments

WASHINGTON – A rogue artist has “jokerized” the U.S. Capitol building and released the following statement:

Listen, this whole “jokerization” thing barely made sense when somebody in L.A. first did it to Obama.

Now it seems like every other day a new politician gets jokerized, and the quality of the Photoshopping keeps deteriorating. Some of these might even be done in that Microsoft “Paint” program.

So today I skipped ahead to the logical end of all this jokerization and jokerized the building where everybody in Congress works. Everybody. There are no Congresspeople left to jokerize because I basically did them all. Please, please, let this be the end of this stupid meme.

UPDATE: Fearing that an ironic meme might emerge in the wake of the “jokerize” phenomenon, the artist has reportedly acted preemptively by “penguinizing” the already jokerized Capitol:
