Google CEO Eric Schmidt has been repeatedly cited as one of the big-name business leaders attending Obama’s “Growing American Jobs Summit.”

While I agree that Schmidt probably has much more to say about what currently preoccupies business leaders and investors than, say, a New York Times columnist or a Governor of New Mexico who was almost Secretary of Commerce, does Google– Google?– really have much to tell us about the vast majority of businesses in this country, other than how frequently they Google “when the hell is the government going to stop trying to murder my business?”

To get some real answers on what’s ailing the economy, maybe Joe Biden can call in some of those poorly-situated moonshiners he pledged to save with the stimulus–
