It would be hard to concoct a statement more disqualifying of somebody who presumes to write about matters of science than this:
Climate change science is a wondrous intellectual activity. Great scientific minds have learned over the course of many decades to “read” the Earth’s history, in order to understand how the climate system works.

These profits stink of corporationey corporations.
Bret Stephens writes in his WSJ column, “To Help Haiti, End Foreign Aid.”
Economist Jeffrey Sachs proposes to spend between $10 and $15 billion dollars on a five-year development program. “The obvious way for Washington to cover this new funding,” he writes, “is by introducing special taxes on Wall Street bonuses.”
I know Wall Street is a magically self-replenishing pot of gold, but if for any reason that does not work out, Mike B. has a better idea:
The obvious way for Washington to cover this funding is by taxing leftist economic professors an additional 50% of their salary as penitence for all of the damage they have done.
