Nick Gillespie on the boring disappointment that is Jello Biafra
The icons of our youth exist to disappoint us in their (and our) old age and in that sense, Biafra has indeed managed to cough up a second act, however predictable and uninteresting it might be.
Like almost every single other band I’ve cherished throughout the years (with one exception that quickly comes to mind: The Ramones), I love the music and loathe the musician.

Another one bites the dust
Patrick Kennedy has just decided not to even bother running for reelection. What reason could he possibly have for quitting politics in his prime at the age of 42? Evidently even that assclown realizes he couldn’t get elected treasurer of his gradeschool without dad’s (Ted Kennedy’s) help. This will be the first time Congress is without a Kennedy since 1946.
With Joe Biden’s son also deciding not to run for Joe’s senate seat, something of a trend seems to be forming. Could it be that hereditary political power, passed from corrupt asshole to idiot son, is coming to an end? I don’t think the Founding Fathers would have been very impressed with the Kennedy family and New England’s infatuation with them. Maybe we can take this opportunity to return to electing people on merit.

After crashing into a barricade, drunk. No dead girls to mess up this Kennedy's career...just his own incompetence.
