The wonderful world of wine-speak
This is very perfumed on the nose, with a hugely fruity core that is slightly foxy and spicy with a wild grape note over a bed of sandy soil and dried herbs. Rich in the mouth and somewhat soft at first, this really comes alive with lovely fruit full of mineral, wild berry, and savory dried game tones. The finish is long and shows great cut, with a mineral vein driving the fruit through to the herb- and spice-inflected finale.

WSJ: McDonald’s May Drop Health Plan
Evidently a mandated medical loss ratio of 85% is not even remotely feasible for “mini-med” plans that pay out limited benefits, experience high churn rates (which is typical of restaurants)Â and necessarily incur higher administrative expenses.
These policies are likely to go extinct– and not just at McDonald’s.
So you’re telling me the Democrats’ healthcare bill is having the exact opposite of its intended consequences?
But Democrats are so smart, and so well-meaning… How did that happen?
When Larry King and some dude who supports Hezbollah just aren’t cutting it:
It’s time for Parker/Spitzer! The ultimate show for the network that truly has no idea what the concept of “target audience” is — the show will be going up in the coveted 8pm time slot against Bill O’Reilly too, so either CNN is pretty sure this one is a big winner or…they’ve given up on trying to succeed.  Oh well, success is really only for greedy capitalists anyways.  CNN is just following the NY Times in taking the “high road” and leaving “success” up to those race-baiting Fox News wackos. In the plus column for CNN, the “aging Manhattanite lawyer who can’t get enough hookers” demographic is expected to be locked down pretty tight.
New Video Game “Resistance 3″ Features Postapocalyptic St. Louis
File Front has published a handful of screen shots of the new sci-fi first person shooter video game “Resistance 3.” The game is at least partially set in St. Louis– a St. Louis of the future (or maybe alternate history) which has been devastated by some kind of cataclysmic event and infested with robo-mutant aliens or something.
See below. The Arch is still standing. (So I don’t know why everybody is worried about a little corrosion.)
Here some robotic flying sentries appear to patrol the Old Post Office.
Readers may recall that St. Louis provided the backdrop for John Carpenter’s dystopian sci-fi movie ”Escape From New York.” The director needed burned-out, abandoned blocks of urban decay and St. Louis and East St. Louis (ca. 1981) had an ample supply. “Resistance 3″ is pure fantasy, so I guess we’re making progress!
P.S. I wish I had discovered these images early enough to submit them to the Gateway Arch design competition.

CNN – the Caliphate News Network
Allah be praised! Finally someone is putting out the message Hezbollah has always intended to send: diversity and religious tolerance! Thank you, Caliphate News Network. May Allah bless you with many wives who look great from the nose up and you never have to honor-kill.
What does Hassan Nasrallah, leader of Hezbollah, have to say?
If the Jews all gather in Israel, it will save us the trouble of going after them worldwide.
And on this last day of the century, I promise Israel that it will see more suicide attacks, for we will write our history with blood.
As if we really need to refute statements that Hezbollah is a proponent of diversity and religious tolerance.
A Christie Compilation
From theblaze.com, governor Christie’s greatest hits:
Personally I think it’s too early to talk about Christie for 2012, but certainly not too early to be talking about him as exactly the type of (non)politician we need to fix this country.
