Disgusting
Rachel Maddow strikes again. Even if MSNBC’s viewership dropped to three people plus Rachel Maddow’s DVR’ing of herself, it would still bother me that anyone spouts this racially divisive garbage.
The crux of her argument is that conservative politicians (and of course now Fox News) create a fear of minorities among stupid, racist white people who are evidently so prevalent in this country as to create a powerful political base. She asserts that this group of stupid white racists have been tricked into believing that civil rights are a zero sum equation, and that whites lose civil rights when equal treatment is given to minorities.
Of course she does not seem to grasp the irony of her argument. “You must hate and fear the conservative racists who are using the politics of hatred and fear to manipulate the people!”. Right. In any case this glimpse into the dark abyss of racial propaganda is arguably worth watching for educational purposes.

She is awful. And like her fellow MSNBC host Keith Olbermann, never, ever, interacts with anybody who disagrees with her. I think it's a pretty natural consequence that she arrives at simplistic, overbroad explanations for everything.

Right, because there is no reason to believe that Fox would pander to a racist audience, even though Glenn Beck and Fox's highly touted Tea Party movement turns out people with racist epithets printed on their signs, but never mind that.
How dare Rachel Maddow lambast Fox News,… i mean, all they did was force a very capable and deserving woman out of her job, by calling her a racist while showing a completely misleading and out of context clip from her speech which was actually about needing unity as a people.
This is so stupid, Fox was wrong, Maddow was right. Fox does try to play people's minds on the race issue, and that's a fact, and don't think that you racists can wiggle out of being held accountable by saying that we can't hate you without being hypocrites. You see, YOU hate other races, or other religions, whatever it is you hate. We just hate specific detestable personality traits, such as bigotry.
I was still a child when an eternal truth came to me: The only thing to hate is hate itself.
So if you want to marvel at that whole paradox, and think us to be hypocrites because we hate you for your racism, just remember that we white folks that you apparently think are sooo superior, yeah, most of us are embarrassed by you dirty racists. You make us look bad. We don't want your support, which is why the only place where you can really be yourselves and not have to worry about getting your ass kicked on a daily, is way out in some small town, far away from any really civilized activity. And there you can stay, and I am so sorry to the many smart and kind people who live in small towns, but they're the only people nice enough not to kick your asses out.
Enjoy your Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh.
