Elections Have Consequences
Unfortunately for America, one of the consequences of the 2008 election is a muddled, patchwork foreign policy characterized by a combination of wishful thinking and disdain.
It seems that the Obama administration formulates its foreign policy in three distinct ways:
- The “I don’t like that guy – let’s embarrass him” approach, in the case of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Afghan President Hamid Karzai.
- The “Wouldn’t it be nice if…” approach, when it comes to unilateral nuclear disarmament, closing Guantanimo Bay prison, and withdrawl of troops from Afghanistan.
- Bowing as frequently as possible.
In spite of government bailouts, $1,000,000,000,000 in dysfunctional “stimulus”, and the healthcare bill monstrosity, the Obama administration may very well be most remembered by history for its bumbling, misguided foregin policy. Elections certainly do have consequences.
Hill is looking a little stressed out. I guess running the most powerful country in the world isn’t all fun and games. Maybe if she wore that hijab full time, Iran would give up their nuclear program? Or perhaps she could get on board with the bowing idea. Or…should she curtsey? Well, whichever makes America look the most ridiculous is probably best.
