Newly Discovered Nostradamus Text Prophesizes Glut of Cliched Apocalypse Movies Circa 2012
French historians claim to have discovered a long-lost text written by the famed Sixteenth Century seer Nostradamus which portends a bevy of formulaic end-of-the-world films in and around the year 2012. The researchers released the following quatrain:
From the Golden Coast will come
Children’s tales writ to silver screen
Storms, fires, floods and quakes
But little to say about anything.
It is also being reported that Nostradamus may specifically have warned against multiple Nicolas Cage films in the apocalyptic genre. To date, Cage has only appeared in one such film– this year’s unintelligible “Knowing.”
