"Hilarious." – Daniel Hannan

United States, Inc.

It seems like it will come as quite a shock to the Obama administration that the international scene is a competitive one, and that when you’re number one everyone else is out to get you.  For that matter it might come as a surprise that America is the predominant world leader, since American supremacy has never been a priority of the liberal agenda, to say the least.  They would rather achieve some nebulous, meaningless “world consensus” through corrupted organizations like the United Nations.

Take a moment to look at the United States as a corporation operating  in an international market, and the dollar as a share of ownership.  The recent divestiture of dollars by China, Russia and an increasing number of foreign countries means that everyone is selling their shares in United States, Inc.  Why? Well, we have a new CEO.  We appointed him CEO not because he had experience running anything, but because he talked real good and voting for him allowed a lot of people to pat themselves on the back for “doing their part” against racism.  Nor did it help that the other guy was one of the most unappealing candidates in the history of human politics, making it awfully easy to vote for Hopenchange.

But what the Obama administration is about to find out is that “redistribute as much wealth as possible and borrow money from China to buy neat stuff for congressmen” is a pretty shitty business plan for surviving in an international environment where everyone is out to get you.

There are really only three possible options here.  Either:

  1. The Obama administration does not realize that their spending is going to cause the destruction of the dollar, painful inflation for all Americans that will be worse than any tax, and the lessening of America as a world power.
  2. The Obama administration values the implementation of their agenda over the interests of the American people (for example, America needs government healthcare and wind power even if it means milk will be $10 a gallon).
  3. The Obama administration is not blind, and knows exactly what the impact of their spending will be, and therefore is intentionally trying to take America down a few notches for reasons of their own.

Some combination of 1 and 2, or 2 and 3 is possible, but I truly don’t see any other alternatives.  All of these options are horrible and I’d really rather not believe any are even possible.  Please…someone correct me if I’m wrong.

Looking on the bright side, I bet if I wear a white lab coat to stand in the unemployment line I’ll get some special treatment.  Or maybe I could make a living making capitalism-funded movies about how awful capitalism is.  It would be an easy transition into the field of state propaganda when the revolution comes.

  1. I vote for a combination of 2 and 3, although with a caveat about 3: the people who make up ObamaTeam aren't quite as smart as they think they are–they may know what they want to do, but thankfully their planning and execution is often poor, and they come across as naive or just plain dumb. Even people who voted for Obama are starting to wake up to this.
