Hear our cry, Obama?
This video was just published on Breitbart.tv. It is hard to figure out exactly what these people are doing. It seems like some kind of combined religious/political activist ceremony. The crowd seems to respond to the prayer with a mixture of “Hear our cry, Obama” and “Hear our prayer, O God”. The…woman leading the liturgical proceeding…does refer to Martin Luther King as a “prophet”, which lessens my astonishment and disbelief that this particular group of people would be praying to Obama.
Whatever else this video may be, it is a link in a long chain of circumstantial evidence that something is terribly wrong with many Obama supporters and their expectations for the (first black!) president. A cult of personality extending Obama’s personal influence to that of the divine would be devastating for our country. Hopefully it is a stupid joke.
To me it is very clear what these folks are saying. I think anyone who prays to a man or sings praises to a man is displaying their absolute ignorance. People, WAKE UP! This is a man, not a god! This man does not hear prayer. This man does not hear singing. He is the freakin President of the US. Please look at what he is doing! Read! He is not going to end racism. If anything he is fueling it. Go back and look at our constitution. Try to understand freedom of speech. Try to understand free enterprise. Try to understand this man is trying to take your freedoms from us! My God, I believe ignorance is the most infectious disease in our country and if you are praying or singing to Obama, you are truly inflicted with it! Unreal!
